Ardis Lorraine Kettelhodt, 74, Princeton, MN, died Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Elim Care and Rehab Center, Princeton, MN.

Ardis was born on October 23, 1935 in Princeton, MN, daughter of Albert and Regina (Bertram) Shelley. She married Royce Kettelhodt on August 1, 1970 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Princeton. She had worked as a waitress at Borchard Café and Shirkey’s Café and had worked as a secretary with the Princeton Public Utilities. Ardis was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, a 54 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary.

She enjoyed word puzzles, especially crosswords and earlier in life, she enjoyed sewing.

Ardis is survived by her husband: Royce; son: Brian (Patty) Kettelhodt of Princeton; stepchildren: Kenny (Susan) Kettelhodt of Zimmerman, Terri Pendergrass of Zimmerman, and Wendy (Joel) Thompson of Zimmerman; three grandchildren: Josh, Jacob and Joe Kettelhodt; six step-grandchildren: Josh, Holly, Alexandra, Ben, Erin and Sam; and two step-great grandchildren: Chloe and Charlie; brothers: Ronald (Shirley) Shelley of Princeton, Dennis (Hazel) Shelley of Bowdon, GA, Kenneth Shelley of Princeton, Larry (Sharon) Shelley of Princeton and Kathleen (James) Orton of Princeton, Helen (Bill) Hansen of Fort Dodge, IA and Joyce (Dave) Salaz of Douglas, WY; sister-in-law: Mary Ann Shelley of Isanti and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home and for one hour before services at the church.

Prayer Service: 7 PM, Tuesday with a Legion Auxiliary Service at 7:30 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 16th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Princeton.

Burial: Oak Knoll Cemetery, Princeton, MN.
