Helen was born on April 24, 1927 to Pearl and Bill Reed in Hopkins, Minnesota. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Margaret’s Academy in Minneapolis. She was a proud member of the Kappa Delta Sorority at the University of Minnesota where she earned a B.S. degree in Home Economics. Helen married the love of her life, John McReavy, on June 16, 1951.

Helen taught classes in English, home economics, and entertaining. She was one of the founders of the Next to New Shoppe in St. Cloud and ran a successful antique business for many years. She was an active volunteer in the community and served as one of St. Cloud’s first hospice volunteers. She was also an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud, especially in the Christian Women’s organization. Most importantly, Helen dedicated her life to loving her husband, children and grandchildren. She treasured gatherings of family and friends.
